WISE COUNTY, Va. (LEX 18)– A woman is in the hospital after authorities say she hit several police vehicles during a chase in Virginia.
It happened Thursday on Route 23 in Wise County, which is on the border with southeast Kentucky.
Officials say they were looking into a vehicle that was reported stolen from Kentucky.
That’s when Erika Lucas allegedly tried to take off, leading authorities on a chase for several miles.
She allegedly rammed several police vehicles before being stopped.
Charges are pending.
