UPDATE: Police confirm she was found around 6 a.m. Monday morning at the Walmart in Hamburg. She is in good condition.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Police have issued a Golden Alert for a missing woman with a mental illness.
Police say Maria Perez was last seen around 5 p.m. Sunday at the Peddler’s Mall on East New Circle Road.
She is described as being 5’3″ tall and is 64 years old.
Police say she is diagnosed with schizophrenia, and has been off her medications since last month.
She was last seen wearing a black and white jacket, a red shirt with a dream catcher on the front, and a large amount of jewelry.
