LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – An overturned semi is causing some delays on I-64 eastbound in Lexington.
According to officials, the truck flipped over on the ramp to I-64 EB near the 87 milemarker. Lexington Fire says the trailer hauling recyclable metal took the turn too fast and overturned at the Haley Road exit. The on-ramp is now back open after being shut down for about an hour.
The truck is owned by a company out of Ashland. No one was injured. The debris will be cleaned up by a backhoe and then the truck can be set upright and removed.
Lexington Fire Department says the entire cleanup may take 6 hours.
