ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A home has been destroyed and one person sent to the hospital after a fire in Anderson County.
It happened just before 11:30 p.m. Monday night on the 200 block of Diamond Street in Lawrenceburg.
Fire officials say that when they arrived, the two-story house was fully engulfed.
They were able to put the fire out quickly, but couldn’t save the house.
We’re told the fire started in the living room, but quickly spread to the rest of the house.
The residents were able to get out, but one woman was taken to hospital. Her injuries are unclear.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
