BOYD COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A man is in custody after allegedly shooting his mother in Boyd County.
It happened Tuesday morning on Barbeque Road in Catlettsburg.
Officials say the two had been arguing.
She was taken to a hospital in Huntington, W. Va.
When officials attempted to arrest the man he reportedly fired shots at officers and deputies, who returned fire.
We’re told charges haven’t been filed yet.
The names of the suspect and victim have not been released.
