Homeowner Fires Shots During Home Invasion

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Police are investigating following a home invasion on Jacks Creek Pike in Lexington.

According to police, an intruder came in the side door of the home and found the homeowner inside. The robber forced the homeowner to give him a substantial amount of cash and other items.

The victim asked the man to not take the guns inside the home and the robber agreed.  As the intruder fled the scene, the homeowner grabbed one of his guns and fired as he fled.

The intruder is described as an African-American male, who was wearing a bandana over his face. He got away in a 4 door, white vehicle that was parked at the back of the house

The homeowner was uninjured.
