LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A driver escaped serious injury after his car hit a utility pole early Saturday morning on Lexington’s northeast side.
Authorities say the crash occurred just after 1 a.m. at the corner of East Loudon and Maple Avenue.
The driver hit a utility pole, knocking out power to three homes. The pole was left dangling by the power lines after the crash.
Although firefighters had to use the jaws of life to extricate the driver, officials said he was taken to an area hospital with only minor injuries.
