UPDATE: Huff has been found safe after a 26 hour search. Officials say he was located at a strip mine nearby.
HAZARD, Ky. (LEX 18) – A Golden Alert has been issued for a Letcher County man.
According to Kentucky State Police, Maynard Huff, 58, was last seen at a residence on Henry Ison Hollow in the Big Cowan community at around noon on October 30.
Huff is a white male who is 5-feet-7-inches tall and weighs around 190 pounds. He has black and gray hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a blue flannel shirt with a camouflage undershirt, dark blue jeans, and brown slip-on boots.
He has medical difficulties and is non-verbal. Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Maynard Huff is urged to contact Kentucky State Police Post 13 at 606-435-6069. Information can also be shared on the KSP public website, social media sites and KSP smartphone app.
