DALLAS (NBC DFW) — A jury sentenced a hired hitman to death Wednesday in the murder of a University of Kentucky graduate.

NBC DFW reports that 34-year-old Kristopher Love was sentenced to die for the 2015 fatal shooting of Kendra Hatcher.

The station says a Dallas County jury deliberated about three hours before sending Love to Death Row. An execution date has not been set.

Hatcher, a pediatric dentist, was shot to death in the parking garage of her Uptown Dallas apartment building.

Prosecutors say Love was hired by Brenda Delgado, an ex-girlfriend of Hatcher’s boyfriend.

Delgado fled to Mexico and briefly was on the FBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted List before being arrested and brought back in 2016.
