SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Northbound I-75 was closed at mile marker 124 for hours following an accident involving two vehicles.

A Scott County firefighter tells LEX 18 that a truck and sedan collided while trying to change lanes. The truck ended up on the left side of the highway while the sedan rolled off the shoulder and wrapped around a tree.

A deputy says speed was a major factor in this accident. They added that it’s likely the vehicle hydroplaned due to the wet pavement.

The drivers of both vehicles have minimal injuries.
