JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WAVE 3)– A spider infestation shut down a post office in Jefferson County and now, two months later, that post office is re-opening.

Operations were suspended at the Fisherville Post Office back in August after brown recluse spiders were found during a routine inspection by an exterminator.

During the suspension, professional extermination treatments and testing continued until no signs of the spiders remained

The post office will re-opens Thursday.

It happened twice before at the same post office back in 2015.
