SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– In the close-knit community of Scott County, nobody fights alone.

On Friday, it was announced that injured Scott County Deputy Jaime Morales has asked the Scott County Sheriff’s Office to donate half of all the t-shirt and sweatshirt sales from an upcoming festival to Georgetown firefighter Johnnie Jacobs.

The 217 Strong Festival was planned to support Deputy Morales, who was injured on duty. Now, half of the shirt sales from that event will go to Jacobs, who is fighting a degenerative lung condition, which doctors blame it on all of the years of breathing in dangerous chemicals while on the job.
