DAYTON, Ohio. (WDTN/LEX 18) –  A former youth soccer coach convicted of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, sexual battery and sexual imposition could be in Kentucky.

According to WDTN in Dayton, Justin Smith, 41, tampered with his ankle monitor and failed to return when closing arguments began in his case.  Sentencing in the case has been delayed until Smith is found.

Smith had formerly worked at the Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities Services, but prosecutors say the abuse did not happen there.

The US Marshals Service tells LEX 18 that Smith has family and friends in the Lexington area and was spotted here a few days ago.

If you have information on Smith’s whereabouts, contact police.
