JOHNSON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Kentucky State Police are investigating after one person was killed in a crash involving two Pike County deputies.
Authorities say the crash occurred on U.S. Highway 23 in Johnson County.
KSP says an official vehicle with two Pike County deputies transporting a female was involved in a crash with another vehicle “believed to have been occupied by two or three people.”
KSP says one of the people in that vehicle was pronounced dead of injuries from the crash. The name of the victim has not been released, pending notification of family.
Officials said the crash remains under investigation and that traffic in the area.
Traffic near the crash site remains slow as crews continue to reconstruct the scene.
