SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Less than 24 hours after a prayer service was held in his honor, a Georgetown firefighter has found a donor for a healthy set of lungs.
The family of Johnnie Jacobs, who is fighting a degenerative lung condition, revealed over the weekend that he was in critical condition while awaiting a lung transplant.
Jacobs worked for the Georgetown Fire Department for more than two decades, working his way to the rank of battalion chief.
