POWELL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Two people are facing child endangerment charges after police say their children were found living in deplorable conditions.
According to a police report, the living conditions were so bad inside the apartment of Jessie and Diana Patrick, that an officer had to walk outside because he got sick.
A 17-year-old girl was found there. Police say a 9-year-old also lives there, but was at church at the time.
Police saw piles of dog fences, flies, and a five gallon bucket of what appeared to be human feces.
Jessie Patrick faces drug offenses on top of the child endangerment charge.
Both are lodged in the Powell County Detention Center.
