ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Officials determined Wednesday that a message found in a restroom at Emma B. Ward Elementary School in Anderson County was a “non-credible threat.”

A news release posted to the school district’s Facebook page says the elementary’s principal “was informed of an inappropriate message.”

The release said school leaders confirmed the source of the message and the incident was reported to police.

An investigation showed “the message was a non-credible threat,” according to school officials.

It was not clear whether any arrests or school actions were made in connection to the incident.
