LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) -Animal Care & Control is seeking the public’s help in finding out who shot a dog with a blow dart.
Officials say this horrendous act happened in the Masterson Station neighborhood. Champ’s owners took the dog to a veterinarian, but with the financial possibility of the procedure costing $2000-$5000, they were going to have him euthanized.
Thankfully, a vet technician told the family if they surrendered the dog, she would take the animal and have the surgery done. Champ is now expected to recover.
