LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky-based Heaven Hill Distillery has announced a $65 million investment to expand its visitors’ center and increase production capacity.
The company best known for its Evan Williams bourbon brand said Friday the renovation and expansion of its visitors’ center in Bardstown will include a new rooftop bar serving cocktails and offering bourbon tastings.
The center will focus on Heaven Hill’s history since its inception in 1935. It taps into the growing popularity of bourbon tourism.
Heaven Hill says its latest investment also includes a new bottling line, construction of new storage warehouses where its whiskeys age and equipment upgrades. It follows a $25 million expansion of its main production facility in Louisville that raised capacity to 400,000 barrels per year.
Heaven Hill’s brands also include Elijah Craig Bourbon, Larceny Bourbon and Rittenhouse Rye Whisky.
