WOODFORD COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — The 19-year-old University of Kentucky student accused of making threats against the school is back in jail, this time facing federal charges.

Just two weeks ago Haily Loriane Duvall contacted UK Police and several media outlets, including LEX 18, to report apparent threats made on the social media platform Snapchat.

Now she’e the focus of an FBI investigation as she’s suspected of making those threats, which involved the White Hall classroom building.

According to the FBI, the threats included references to bombs, knives and numerous student deaths.

Duvall originally faced charges of terroristic threatening and falsely reporting an incident in Fayette County, but was released on bail after pleading not guilty.

But now she faces federal charges of threatening communications, making false statements and reporting false information and hoaxes. Each of those charges carries a potential maximum sentence of five years in prison.

Duvall made an initial appearance in court Friday and she’ll be back in front of a judge Tuesday for a preliminary hearing.
