LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Willie’s Locally Known is closing up shop in Lexington.
An announcement posted to their Facebook page announced the permanent closure of the Southland Drive location.
“We’d like to thank our community and incredible staff for their support,” reads the post.
The owner of the restaurant pleaded on Facebook last year saying that the business was struggling and he urged people to support local restaurants.
“Anything you could do right now to help us out would really be a lifesaver. And if you can’t make it over to Southland Drive, go visit some of the other locally owned restaurants. Because they’re feeling it, too. I guarantee it. It’s tough right now,” owner Wilson Sebastian said in the video.
The restaurant says that all turkey orders will be filled as planned. Turkeys can be picked up between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
