LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– A Lexington restaurant is frying up Thanksgiving turkeys while raising money to make the holidays a little merrier for some local kids.
Workers at Double H Barbeque on Versailles Road say that they Hanley family has held their annual turkey fry for over 20 years.
It’s an easy way to have your main course cooked, for free, on Thanksgiving.
All you have to do, in addition to bringing your own turkey, is bring a new toy or cash donation for the Lexington Firefighters Toy Program.
The event is on a First Come, First Serve basis. You will need to reserve a turkey pickup time back calling (859) 523-4227.
