PADUCAH, Ky. (WPSD)— Police were called out Wednesday night to Cardinal Point Apartments in Paducah for a reported assault.
It happened around 7:30 p.m. on Trimble Street.
Police tell WPSD they are investigating an assault, but they have not confirmed whether there was a shooting. They say one person was hurt, but the nature of their injury is not being released. Neighbors said, however, they heard what sounded like a gunshot.
One neighbor said she heard what sounded like a gunshot and saw two vehicles speed off.
Another neighbor said he heard a gunshot sound as well. He said just minutes before the incident, a stranger came to his door and wanted to get inside. He said he’s not sure if that’s connected to the assault investigation.
Police say no arrests have been made yet.
