LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Lexington Police are investigating an apparent homicide on Delaware Avenue.
Police were called to Henley Welding and Iron Works around 7: 30 a.m. Friday.
Officials say employees came in and found another employee with a gunshot wound to the chest. Police say that the victim is a 57-year-old white man.
Investigators believe that the shooting happened Friday morning.
An employee tells LEX 18 that the company has been very busy lately because they are making materials for City Center, formerly known as CentrePointe. The employee said that they are a very close-knit group.
The victim’s name has not been released yet.
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday in Frankfort.
