HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) –Authorities in western Kentucky were looking for a woman and her two young children after saying they may have been forced into a vehicle against their will.

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office is now reporting that the claims were unfounded.

WFIE reports that the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance about 4 a.m. in the 500 block of Lovers Lane.

According to the station, the sheriff’s department says its deputies learned that 23-year-old Lillyanna K. Caraway was possibly taken.

Deputies were also looking for Caraway’s 3-year-old daughter, Aundraya, and 3-month-old daughter, Amaziah.

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office initially treated the case as a kidnapping, but on Sunday evening they were able to make contact with Caraway.

She reportedly told deputies over the phone that she was not forced to go anywhere and got in the car on her own.

The sheriff’s office then had a local law enforcement agency in the area where she was located confirm that with her in person and perform a welfare check on her two young children.

Based on their investigation, the group was not kidnapped and was not in any danger.
