(LEX 18) — Attorney General Andy Beshear says six Kentucky counties will be holding post-election audits to check for any trouble with this year’s midterm elections.
The counties, which were drawn at random, are Breathitt, Grayson, Greenup, McCreary, Washington and Webster.
The fact that a county was chosen does not imply that any foul play is suspected.
The attorney general is ordered by law to audit 5 percent of Kentucky’s counties are each primary and general election.
