LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A few weeks ago, local architects traded in traditional building supplies for cans of food.

They built structures in the Lexington Center as a part of Canstruction, world-wide charity art competition.

Tuesday night around 7:30 p.m., several vandals ran through the competition area knocking down cans on several of the structures.

The group who put the basketball structure together went back to the Lexington Center and re-constructed it.

Thankfully, no cans were busted.

The structures were already judged and the winner will be announced Thursday by the American Institute of Architects.

All the cans will go to God’s Pantry in Lexington.
