LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE 3)– An online petition is getting thousands of signatures as fallout from a confrontation over public breastfeeding in Kentucky continues.
Sadie Durbin filed a lawsuit following the incident at a Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Louisville suburb of Saint Matthews.
She told WAVE 3 News that a manager said customers were complaining and she needed to cover up.
Now, public breastfeeding advocates are passing a petition around, and it’s gotten thousands of signatures.
Supporters are urging Texas Roadhouse to change its policy to allow mothers to breastfeed in its restaurants.
Texas Roadhouse released a statement to WAVE 3 on Nov. 16, saying they do support a woman’s right to breastfeed, including in their restaurants.
