LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Fayette County Sheriff Kathy Witt and partner agencies will launch her office’s 6th annual coat drive.
This year’s drive is in honor of Diana Ross, a local advocate and champion for victims of domestic abuse, who died over the weekend.
The launch is set for Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at Chase Dry Cleaners on Ashland Avenue.

Chevy Chase: 641 E. Euclid Avenue
Harrodsburg Road: 2401 Harrodsburg Road
Tates Creek: 3608 Walden Drive
Vine Street: 333 W. Vine St. Suite 102
The drive runs through Dec. 31.
Last year, the sheriff’s office collected more than 400 coats to distribute to people who expressed need during the 2017 coat drive.
