Lexington Police: Man Pistol-Whipped, Robbed When He Answers Door

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington police were investigating after a man reported being robbed early Sunday morning by someone who knocked on his door on the city’s far south side.

The incident happened about 1 a.m. on Victoria Way near Man O’ War Boulevard and Nicholasville Road.

The man told police someone knocked at his door and when he answered a man hit him in the face with a gun.

The man said the assailant grabbed his wallet and fled.

The attacker was described as stocky and standing about 5-foot-9. He was wearing a black mask and a hoodie.

The resident received minor injuries but did not require treatment.
