LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Police are searching for a driver after they say a man was hit by a car and shot Sunday night.
It happened just before 5:30 p.m. on Limestone and 12th.
When officers arrived, they found a man lying in the road with a gun shot wound to his leg.
Officers say the man was hit by a vehicle while crossing Limestone Avenue.
After that, the driver and the man reportedly got into a fight. That’s when the driver got out of his vehicle and shot the man.
Police say the victim’s injuries are not life-threatening.
The driver then left the scene, and there were reportedly two other people in the vehicle.
Police say the suspect drives a black jeep commander.
