CRANKS, Ky (LEX 18)- Kentucky State Police are investigating after a fatal logging accident in Harlan County.
Troopers were called to the Cranks community around 10 a.m. Tuesday morning for reports of a workplace accident.
Preliminary investigation indicates John Williams, 36, was working at Three States Coal Sales and Logging Company when he was injured.
He was transported to an awaiting ambulance but was pronounced deceased upon arrival.
An autopsy has been scheduled for tomorrow in Frankfort at the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
