CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Mountain Parkway has reopened near Winchester after several crashes blocked all lanes of the roadway in Clark County.  One of those crashes involved a patient being airlifted from the scene.

Crews worked quickly to clear the scene near the parkway’s Clark County starting point.

One woman was transported to Clark Regional with a bone fracture. Another was airlifted to UK Hospital with “very life-threatening injuries.”

Police tell LEX 18 that the truck was headed westbound when it came up on stopped traffic due to another accident. Witnesses say it was going so fast that it went airborne as it crossed the median and hit the black car which was headed eastbound.
