Bowling Green Police Investigating Double Homicide

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WNKY)– Police investigating after two bodies were found inside a Bowling Green apartment Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to a call around 8:45 a.m. concerning ‘unknown trouble’ at an apartment building in the 2100 block of Rock Creek Road.

When officers arrived on scene they made a gruesome discovery, two women were dead inside. They were later identified as 62-year-old Deloris Hampton Stacker and 53-year-old Karen L. Burks.

After receiving the proper search warrant, officers began processing the scene and collecting evidence.

Officials tell WNKY this is being investigated as a double homicide.

24 hours later, police released an update saying the person(s) involved may have been injured and needed medical treatment for those injuries.
