VERSAILLES, Ky. (LEX 18) – Quantrell Subaru is helping the Woodford Humane Society empty the kennels!

Quantrell is sponsoring every pet adoption in full, December 8-22. For families wanting to adopt, that means no adoption fee on any of Woodford Humane’s cats, dogs, and any other animals available for adoption during the Adoption Drive.

For Woodford Humane, it means lots of loving homes for deserving pets, some of whom have been waiting patiently for months.

2018 marks the sixth year that Quantrell Subaru has sponsored adoptions around the holidays, each year turning Woodford Humane Society’s Adoption Center into a whirlwind of activity. 2016’s Adoption Drive sent home 130 pets, with that number climbing even higher to 170 during 2017’s two-week drive.

Katie Hoffman, Woodford Humane Society’s Executive Director, says, “We are so grateful to have Quantrell Subaru’s support for the Adoption Drive again this year. If we come anywhere close to last year’s numbers, we’ll be very happy! It is really something special to be able to help so many animals in need in such a short time, and to help so many families find a new best friend.”

The adoption process will involve the same screening and procedures as it would any other time of year, according to Marketing Director Beth Oleson. “We work hard to make sure that the pets in our care are being matched with the right homes, whether someone is paying an adoption fee or not. Approved adoption applications are always required.” Adoptions include the pet’s spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip, a starter bag of food, and a free vet visit.
