‘Outstanding!’: Video Shows Rescue Of Man From Swift Water In Anderson County

ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Emergency workers in Anderson County rescued a man Saturday night after his truck became stuck in swift water.

An officials with the Anderson County Emergency Management said the call came in around 9:30 p.m. saying a man was stranded in Rice Crossing.

It’s not clear why the man drove his vehicle into the water. The water was extremely swift and up to the hood of the truck.

Swift water technicians found the man on the hood, gave him a life jacket and were able to guide him back safely to shore.

The man was taken to an area hospital to be treated for hypothermia.

Anderson County Fire, EMS and Sheriff’s deputies all assisted in the rescue.
