The recording showed a man backing a vehicle into the driveway of the home and a woman passenger getting out to grab the package from the porch.
Three days later, LMPD officers spotted the vehicle in the video on Dixie Highway at Gagel Avenue and pulled it over. After being read her rights, the passenger, Andrea Lynette Garcia, 29, of Louisville, admitted to taking the package. Garcia said she threw it in the trash.
Garcia also told police the man driving the vehicle, Eddie A. Prater, 40, had driven her to the home where the theft happened.
Prater and Garcia were booked into Louisville Metro Corrections on one count each of theft of mail matter.
