KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Kentucky State Police are investigating a deadly crash in Knox County.
It happened just after 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night on Kentucky 11 near the Hammons Fork intersection in Woolum.
Officials say a car was heading south when it crossed the center line and hit the guardrail.
They say the vehicle went back across both lanes and left the roadway again, crashing into a rock embankment and flipping.
Dale Taylor, of Barbourville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three other people, including the driver, were taken to the hospital.
Officials say no one was wearing their seat belt, and that drugs and alcohol are believed to be factors.
Criminal charges are pending.
