LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – A heartbreaking surveillance video shows the moment a man abandoned a dog in a Lexington pet supply store.
Video shared on Most Valuable Pet’s Instagram shows the man walking into the store, letting go of the dog’s leash, and walking away.
Store management does not believe the dog belonged to the man in the video.
“We believe the man who abandoned the dog at our store yesterday afternoon was not the actual owner of the dog. Reasons being that the dog had on a leather collar with nice leash, the dog was in great shape and decently clean with nails trimmed, was trained, and didn’t look back at the man who left him there. We believe the dog could have been stolen, and if this is the case we are desperate to find the true owner before the dog is adopted out. PLEASE share this post! Any information is helpful!” reads a post to the store’s social media.
