LESLIE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – The man accused in the deaths of three people in Leslie County was indicted Wednesday. The Commonwealth’s Attorney confirms he will seek the death penalty.

Paul Douglas Sizemore has been indicted on 16 counts including murder, wanton endangerment, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, robbery, fleeing and evading and two counts of attempted murder.

Sizemore was charged with the murders of Larry, Norma and Chad Bowling as well as with the attempted murder of a Kentucky State Police trooper.

A detailed indictment in the case says that Sizemore shot and killed all three with a rifle during a burglary. Investigators also allege that Sizemore stole a 2009 Cadillac belonging to Norma and Larry Bowling.

He is also accused of firing shots at a responding state trooper.

Sizemore was also convicted of murder in the late 1980s in the death of Ruth Ann Osborne.

Sizemore pleaded not guilty prior to his indictment. He remains in jail on a $1 million bond. He will be back in court to answer to the indictment on Jan. 2.
