Powell Co. Sheriff Warns Of Mail Thieves

POWELL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18 )- Powell County Sheriff’s officials want to inform residents of a rash of mail thefts.

According to a post on the department’s Facebook page,  mail has been stolen and scattered along roadways throughout the county.

Sheriff’s officials advise residents to remove package deliveries from their driveway as quickly as possible to prevent thefts.

Report any suspicious activity or vehicles in your area to local law enforcement. If possible get a description of the vehicle and tag number and telephone the Powell County Sheriff Office (606) 663-2226.
