CLAY CITY, Ky. (LEX 18) – A homicide investigation is underway in Clay City.
Investigators were called to a home on First Street where a man’s body was found.
The man’s nephew, Dwayne, tells LEX 18 that his uncle, Johnny Mullins was stabbed. The coroner has confirmed that man’s identity as John D. Mullins, 68.
The coroner said that Johnny had stab wounds around his neck and face and that it happened either early this morning or late last night.
Dwayne said that Johnny lived alone and would help anyone.
He told LEX 18 that he believed the suspects didn’t know his uncle because people who knew his uncle knew he didn’t have a lot of money.
Dwayne said he can’t understand why anyone would hurt his uncle.
