SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– The interstate in Scott County was shut down for hours Friday following an injury crash.

It happened at about midnight near the 129 exit ramp on southbound I-75 in Georgetown.

Officials say a semi was stopped on the exit ramp waiting to turn when a car ran into the back of it.

We’re told the car driver’s injuries are not life-threatening and that the truck driver was not hurt.

Officials say it appears the driver of the car may have been intoxicated and he will likely face charges.

The exit ramp on the southbound side was shut down for about one hour while crews cleared the scene.
