LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – A Laurel County man is in jail after police say he refused to come out of a tree behind a business.
According to officials, Covey Brock was taken into custody after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that a male subject ran behind a business. The witness told officers that Brock was talking about being chased by helicopters.
Deputies say once they arrived on scene, Brock climbed up a tree and would not come down when deputies instructed him to do so.
After some negotiation, Brock climbed down and deputies conducted an investigation determining that he was under the influence. This individual was charged with criminal trespassing – third-degree; Public intoxication-controlled substances.
