LEWIS COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)–Two inmates from the Lewis County Jail escaped last Thursday during a power outage. Over the weekend, they were apprehended in Ohio.

Police say Brandon Lond and Paul Napier escaped after an outside door opened during a power outage. Their stint on the run only lasted a short time. Police say dash cam video shows the men in a chase through central Ohio. The chase went through several counties before ending on I-71 in Ashland, Ohio.

When the police finally made them stop, a woman who was driving the car raised her hand.  Police say that the woman is Amy Corns and it was her car that the three were in at the time.

Police are investigating Corns’ alleged role in the escape. She is currently charged with complicity to escape.

Jail officials tell LEX 18 that Corn worked in food service at the jail before the Thursday escape.

The case remains under investigation.
