SHELBY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting in Shelby County.
It happened just after 7:30 p.m. Sunday night on Southlawn Drive in Shelbyville.
Kentucky State Police say the suspect fired several shots into a home, hitting one of the people inside.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead. He has been identified as Jon Monroe, 53, Eminence, KY.
Authorities are still looking for the suspect who reportedly fled after firing the shots.
There is no word on a motive.
