Louisville Police Investigate Shooting Near Convention Center

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE 3)– Police are looking for the suspect in a shooting near the Kentucky International Convention Center.

It happened around 5:12 p.m. in the 200 block of W. Market Street, near a TARC stop.

A preliminary investigation revealed that two men on a TARC bus got into an altercation. While exiting the bus, one of the men fired several shots, striking the victim multiple times.

WAVE 3 News is reporting that when they arrived on scene, it appeared a window of the bus had been shot out.

Police arrived and found a victim, who was then transported to UofL Hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.

After the shooting, the suspect fled the area.
