Fight Breaks Out During Church Christmas Play, Preacher Punched

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (Floyd Co. Chronicle and Times)– Two people were arrested following a fight during a church’s Christmas pageant, according to the Floyd County Chronicle and Times.

The incident occurred on Dec. 16. Documents say that the fight started between two women before the Christmas play at Trimble Chapel Church began. The altercation spilled outside between the husband and boyfriend of the two women.

A child was injured in the melee, as well as the church’s preacher. He told police he was punched when he attempted to break up the fight.

Mark Anthony Gilliam and his girlfriend, Tabitha Ann Compto, were both arrested.
