LOUISVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18)– An airplane traveling to Chicago from Louisville was forced to return to the airport Wednesday morning.
A call came into Command Center around 9:03 a.m., not long after taking off, from an American Airline flight about a mechanical issue.
The plane, carrying about 70 passengers and crew members, was forced to turn around and head back to the Louisville airport.
Officials said there were no injuries and that an emergency response team was sent to meet the plane when it landed.
