FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) – Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes and her husband, Andrew, announced the birth of their son Wednesday.
Crawford “Ford” Case Grimes was born Wednesday at 8:17 a.m. ET and weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces.
Present for the birth, Andrew said, “Both my wife and our baby are doing well.”
“Andrew and I have prayed for and dreamed of this day for many years. We are overjoyed to welcome Ford into our lives. We cannot thank enough our amazing team of doctors and nurses over these past several years. We are grateful to everyone who has offered their constant support and encouragement as it has meant more than you know,” said Secretary Grimes
Grimes has spoken frankly about her struggles with infertility during her pregnancy. This is her first child.
